Lindsey Beecher
I grew up on a farm near Churdan, Iowa, the youngest of three children, and graduated from Paton-Churdan in 1979. I attended Iowa Central Community College, where I received my AA Degree and went to UNI where I received my BA, Masters in Administration and Specialist Degrees. I married my high school sweetheart, Virginia, in 1984 and we have been married for thirty years.
Together we have four children; Adam (31), Katie (27), Thomas (26) and Julie (21). I started my teaching career at Galva Holstein, then taught at Independence. I began my administration career at West Bend-Mallard where I started as High School Principal and moved into the superintendency after eight years. I was also curriculum coordinator and athletic director there. I became the superintendent at Dike-New Hartford in 2003 and stayed in that position for eight years. I am currently serving Gilbert as the district superintendent. I enjoy spending time together as a family, which now also includes our daughter-in-law Gina, grandson Luke and Benjamin. I also enjoy watching Gilbert students in their activities.
